A new 2025 election is required for all of these benefits: 

HEALTHCARE FSA
Election Limits: $520-$3200 Annually
Carryover funds (Up to $640 to 2025)

DEPENDENT CARE
Election Limits: $520-$5000 Annually
No carryover allowed

TRANSIT
Election Limit: $315 Monthly

Full balance will carryover

PARKING
Election Limit: $315 Monthly

Full balance will carryover
(UCONN employees may enroll in one parking plan only)

Please read all directions, complete, sign and email, fax or mail to the information on the Form. It MUST be received before or by October 31, 2024.

 

 

March 31, 2025* is the last day to submit claims for expenses incurred in 2024.

*There is no carryover allowed for Dependent Care (DCAP)

*Healthcare FSA will carryover up to $640

*Qualified Transportation will carryover the full balance

  • Review the materials below to learn about the benefits of enrolling and the eligible expenses.
  • The FSA plans are administered on a calendar year.
  • You have 31 days from your hire date to enroll.
  • The FSA benefit(s) begin the date in which you sign the enrollment form ** Email osc.ebu@ct.gov for the enrollment form.  Complete, sign/date and email it back to osc.ebu@ct.gov **
  • If you have participated in a Dependent Care plan in 2024, keep in mind that the $5000 election is a CALENDAR year election for single and married filing jointly taxpayers; married filing separate is $2500. If you participated during the plan year, any new election must be calculated minus previous contributions.
  • As a new participant, a TASC debit card will be mailed to your home to use to pay for your qualified expenses.  You must obtain and retain a receipt/documentation to substantiate the expense if TASC requests.
  • Upon enrollment, you will receive a welcome email from TASC.  Upon receipt, create your TASC Account (use the Login button at the top and click on First Time User).  Your username is the email address from the enrollment form.
  • You have until 12/31/2024 to incur your services to use your FSA funds. The Healthcare FSA has a carryover up to $640 balance that will move to a 2025 Healthcare FSA.  
  • Dependent Care will not carryover. Any unused funds will be forfeited.
  • The deadline to submit 2024 incurred expenses for reimbursement, if you paid out of pocket, is 3/31/2025. You will need to submit a claim with complete documentation.
  • For Healthcare FSA, Transit and Parking, carryover balances will be added to the 2025 plan year in mid-May.
  • Lastly - you MUST enroll for the 2025 plans as well.  The 2024 elections are completely separate!
